The cost calculator should be used as a rough guide as to how much fuel contributions from passengers should be.

The recommended price is merely a "recommendation" and should not be taken as the "absolute fairest price" (or lowest limit). The final costs are agreed between the driver and passenger before the journey starts.

If you would like to set a fixed cost for your passenger, below you can enter the cost per hundred miles, and the distance of the journey to calculate a fixed cost. Fixed costs are generally between 7 and 9 pounds per hundred miles for one passenger. Please note that the driver cannot make an element of profit from the journey, or their insurance might be affected.
